weeknotes for w/c 02/12/24

late... again. i need to think of a better, catchier tagline too.

• was incredibly stressed, so my manager recommended I take the week off work
• saw my friends at the London Night Cafe on Monday night. it was my first time and I absolutely loved it! caught the night bus home and got in at ~0200
• completed Channel 4's Utopia over the week. the environmental storytelling and sound design is brilliant. I enjoy the well-developed and complex characters

• I don't feel like I'm the glue for any two friendship groups, and it feels good for once
• a friend wanted to get me out of the house, and so we watched Wicked on Saturday. it was such a good film, with solid cinematography and a good score. Ariana Grande was a surprisingly versatile actress.
• had Christmas dinner with friends on Saturday (the first of many this year!) i cooked roasted broccoli, sugar snap peas and green beans, as well as another Victoria sponge cake
• lost my phone somewhere in my house (somehow?!), but ordered a replacement on AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss. the excess was only £109, too! the claim got automatically approved. sometimes I love Apple.
• met with my mentee on Friday evening, helped them through a technical problem! i'm excited for what's to come.
